Do you like accounting that gets you out from behind the desk?
I'm looking for an experienced Inventory Accountant who can roll up their sleeves, physically count inventory, investigate discrepancies, and make sure what's on the floor matches what's in the books.
? Perform physical inventory counts
? Reconcile physical inventory to the general ledger/system
? Research & resolve inventory discrepancies
? Prepare inventory reconciliations and adjustments
? Analyze inventory activity, variances & trends
? Assist with month-end inventory close
? Maintain accurate inventory records
? Partner with operations/accounting to resolve issues
? Support audit requests related to inventory
?? Accounting experience with a strong understanding of inventory
?? Hands-on physical inventory counting experience
?? Strong reconciliation skills
?? Comfortable investigating discrepancies from start to finish
?? Solid Excel skills
?? Detail-oriented and accurate
?? Able to work 100% on-site in Walnut Creek
?? Important: This is not strictly a desk accounting role. You must be comfortable physically counting inventory and then reconciling those counts within the accounting records.
